Bobbie Labs has announced the launch of Bobbie Organic Whole Milk Infant Formula, the first and only United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) organic whole milk infant formula available in the U.S., set to hit the market in April 2025. This marks Bobbie’s fourth formula since its 2021 debut, developed over three years with a focus on ingredient quality, transparency and innovation.

Unlike many organic formulas that contain only some organic ingredients, this product meets full USDA organic standards and adheres to both USDA and European Union (EU) regulations. The formula is designed to mimic key components of breast milk, featuring naturally occurring milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) for brain, immune and gut health, along with industry-leading levels of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), a fatty acid that plays an important role in brain development and function. Plus, the formula does not contain palm oil or a soy fat blend.

“For years, we asked ourselves why there is no USDA organic whole milk formula on the market. Turns out, it is incredibly difficult to develop, but for our Bobbie Labs team of scientists, pediatricians, dietitians, regulatory experts — all of us parents — we fundamentally believe it is our responsibility to up-level the entire industry, and we can’t do [that] without pushing the status quo,” Laura Modi, CEO and co-founder of Bobbie and a mom of four, said in a statement.

Manufactured at Bobbie’s state-of-the-art facility in Ohio, the formula undergoes 2,000-plus safety and quality checks to ensure purity, consistency and excellence. Its end-to-end manufacturing structure allows for a steady supply of unlimited inventory and the ability to produce high-quality formulas in-house.

Overview of Bobbie Organic Whole Milk Formula

  • Breast milk-inspired fat blend: Contains more milk fat and less plant-based oil, providing more palmitic acid in a beneficial SN2 position compared with their Organic Original, Organic Gentle and other nonfat milk-based formulas, which supports softer stools.
  • Brain boost triple threat: Includes MFGM for brain, immune and gut health, DHA exceeding U.S. standards and choline for cognitive support.
  • Clean Label Project certified — Purity and Pesticide-Free Awards: Independently tested to be free from toxins, pesticides, heavy metals, bisphenol A (BPA) and other contaminants, exceeding U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) safety standards.
  • Highest-quality ingredients: USDA and EU organic certified with no palm oil, soy fat blend, corn syrup or maltodextrin — prioritizing purity and infant health.

“As our most vulnerable population’s first food, infant formula deserves the highest quality and clearest product claims,” Christina Berberich, Pharm.D., M.P.H., RD, Bobbie’s vice president of R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and a mom herself, said in a statement. “Our formulation features at least 95% of ingredients that are certified organic, no synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, hormones, antibiotics or genetically modified organisms (GMOs), no artificial preservatives or flavors, and adherence to strict animal welfare standards. Nothing short of the best — for our babies and yours.”

The formula will be available beginning in April 2025, and interested individuals are invited to join the waitlist. Consumers can purchase the 14-ounce cans online for $28. They will be available at select retailers in early summer.
